After dropping heavily both in May (-13%) and June (-21%), the Greek new car market turns around in June with a 14% improvement to 10.141 registrations, meaning the market is up 6.2% to 50.356. Nissan spectacularly takes the lead of the brands ranking thanks to sales up 15% to 11.5% share, distancing Fiat at 9.6% (+65%), Toyota at 9% (-24%), Peugeot at 7,7% (+14%) and Opel at 7.4% (+27%). The biggest gainers in the Top 10 are Suzuki (+69%) and Hyundai up a staggering 426% on June 2016. Further down, notice Skoda (+389%), Mini (+84%) and Jeep (+206%). In contrast, Ford (-28%), Renault (-37%), Seat (-44%) and Kia (-53%) struggle. Fittingly, the Nissan Micra shoots up to pole position in the models ranking despite sales down 2% year-on-year, while the Fiat Panda is up 36% to #2 and the traditional leader, the Toyota Yaris, is down 16% to #3. The Opel Corsa (+45%), Peugeot 208 (+46%), VW Polo (+2%), Hyundai i20 (+474%) and Citroen C3 (+123%) make the June Greek Top 8 entirely composed of supermini cars. The Fiat Tipo (+347%) breaks into the Greek Top 10 for the very first time at #9, the Suzuki Celerio (+288%), Nissan Pulsar (+323%, Hyundai i10 (+321%), Skoda Fabia (+1478%), Ford Kuga (+721%) and Peugeot 3008 (+657%) also post spectacular gains inside the Top 25.
