Greece January 2017: Suzuki Ignis in Top 20

The Suzuki Ignis breaks into the Greek Top 20 this month.

The Greek new car market is up 13% year-on-year in January to 6.460 registrations, with market leaders Toyota (+19%) and Volkswagen (+70%) both frankly beating the market to reach 15.2% and 10.3% share respectively. Peugeot (+1%), Suzuki (+21%) and Nissan (+15%) complete the Top 5, Fiat (+52%), Mercedes (+245%) and Audi (+94%) impress inside the Top 10. Further down, Skoda (+55%), Hyundai (+60%) and Mazda (+70%) also post spectacular gains whereas Ford (-27%), BMW (-35%), Seat (-46%) and Volvo (-46%) implode. Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris (+36%) keeps the lead ahead of the Nissan Qashqai (+83%), Peugeot 208 (+25%) and Opel Astra (+53%), all frankly outpacing the market growth. Notice also the Hyundai i20 (+215%), Citroen C3 (+46%), Skoda Octavia (+59%), Audi A3 (+133%), Mercedes GLA (+383%), Mercedes A-Class (+395%) and Peugeot 2008 (+319%). Among recent launches, the Suzuki Ignis (#20), Toyota C-HR (#24), Suzuki Baleno (#28), Fiat Tipo (#35) and Audi Q2 (#36) all post solid scores.
