Today we can share with you for the first time on BSCB complete data for Iraq. This is exclusive to BSCB, you won’t find this data anywhere else. After gaining significant ground over the past years, the Iraqi new car market is hit full frontal by the troubles in its northern regions destabilising the country. Sales are down 44% year-on-year to 55.152 units, dominated once again by Korean manufacturer Kia down slower than the market at -28% resulting in a much improved 41.6% market share vs. 32.7% a year ago. Below, Toyota (-58%), Hyundai (-50%) and Nissan (-57%) all lose market share. Chevrolet (-33%) and Ford (-44%) follow, while Land Rover (-3%) and Renault (+3442%) see their share shoot up but remain below 1%.

Note previous erroneous reports had the Kia Frontier at #1 in 2014. The Kia Sorento (-34%) and Sportage (-40%) hold onto their position at #3 and #4 respectively, with the Kia Cerato, Hyundai Tucson and Toyota Land Cruiser breaking into the 2015 Top 10. Notice also the Toyota Prado up 7% and 10 spots to #10, the Chevrolet Spark landing directly at #15, the Chevrolet Silverado at #17 and the Aveo at #20.
