Indonesia August 2015: New Toyota Avanza and Daihatsu Xenia dominate

In a depressed market, the launch of the new generation of Indonesia’s best-seller in mid-August is shaking the sales charts up a little. Dubbed by Toyota the Grand New Avanza and Grand New Veloz (for the upscale trim pevioysly known as Avanza Veloz), the new model pushes Avanza nameplate up to 16.344 units in August, its highest monthly result in almost two years, since the 19.013 deliveries of November 2013.
Daihatsu Great New Xenia
For its part the Daihatsu Xenia (or “Great New Xenia”) shoots back up to the #2 passenger car spot with 4.941 sales, a position it hasn’t held since October 2012. The Honda Mobilio (4.746) and Suzuki Ertiga (3.656) are outsold for now, with Honda placing three additional nameplates in the Top 10: the Jazz, Brio Satya and HR-V
