Kazakhstan January 2015: Podium 100% Lada

The Lada Granta holds 11.7% of the Kazakh market in January.

It’s a very rough start of 2015 in Kazakhstan with sales down 29% on a year ago in January to just 7,753 registrations, and there are two clear winners this month: Lada with 34.1% share (7 percentage points above its FY2014 level) and Toyota at 15.2%, both manufacturers together representing no less than just under half of the total market for the month…

The Toyota Land Cruiser is up to #9 this month in Kazakhstan.

It shows in the models ranking: Lada monopolises the podium with the Granta at a record 11.7% share followed by the Priora at 8.7% and the Largus at 7.8%, all well above their respective FY 2014 levels. Below the Hyundai Accent, Kia Rio and Lada Kalina, Toyota places 3 models in the Top 9: the Camry at #7 and 4%, the Land Cruiser Prado at #8 and 3% and the Land Cruiser 200 at #9 and 2.6%. Notice also the Toyota Corolla at #17, the Toyota Fortuner at #19, Nissan X-Trail at #22, Lexus LX at #24 and the Infiniti QX making its appearance at #38, the brand landing in the Kazakh ranking for the first time.
