Europe 10 months 2014: Now with Top 355 models & All brands
Thanks to the new generation, the Mini is back inside the European YTD Top 50 this month.

Quick Year-to-date update for Europe after 10 months so far in 2014, outlining the main ranking changes compared to the 9 months charts. No change in the Top 20 brands ranking, with Mercedes inching every slightly closer to BMW but not enough to really threaten the Bavarian manufacturer. Thanks to the success of the Macan, Porsche (+20%) passes Smart (-20%) in the middle of a complete range replacement with the all-new Fortwo and Forfour to rank #27 with 45,427 sales, and Jeep lifted by the Cherokee and Renegade breaks into the Top 30 thanks to sales up 48% to 28,927 units, knocking Subaru down to #31. At the tail end of the ranking, Bugatti passes Buick with 12 sales so far this year.
Fiat 500
In the models ranking, there are no changes inside the year-to-date Top 10 compared to last month although both the Audi A3 and Skoda Octavia are coming dangerously close to the Nissan Qashqai for the #8 spot overall. The race will be tight in the last couple of months of 2014. Just outside the Top 10, things are a-changing: the Fiat 500 overtakes the Opel Astra to rank #11, confirming 2014 will be the first year the Astra nameplate isn’t among the 10 best-sellers in Europe. It is a momentous event as the Astra was #1 Europe-wide as recently as 2006… Further down, the Peugeot 308 is up one notch to #16, the Seat Leon (#22), Renault Mégane (#23) and Citroen C3 (#24) all pass the BMW 1 Series handicapped by the arrival of the 2 Series, the Mercedes C-Class (#26) and VW Up (#28) exchange positions vs. last month, the Mercedes A-Class passes the Citroen C4 Picasso to #31 and the Mini jumps 5 spots to reclaims its place in the European Top 50 at #47.
