Croatia September 2014: Nissan Qashqai #2, only 3 units off Golf!

Croatian new car sales are back to performing at distinctly higher levels than last year, up 10% in September to 1,994 registrations. The year-to-date total now stands at 27,760 units, up a heart-warming 26% on last year. Volkswagen is king of the brands ranking once again with 15% share, followed by Opel at 8.2%, Nissan surging 6 spots on August and 10 spots on its year-to-date ranking to third place with 7.1% share, Toyota, Renault and Hyundai.

Model-wise, the VW Golf is on top for the third consecutive month thanks to a round 100 sales and 5% share, but still #2 year-to-date below the Skoda Octavia, while the biggest surprise of the month is the Nissan Qashqai jumping from out of nowhere (outside the Top 20) straight into 2nd place and only 3 units off the Golf. The VW Polo is down to #3, the Opel Astra is back up 13 ranks to #4, the Toyota Yaris up 3 to #7, the Mazda3 is up to a fantastic 8th spot and breaks into the year-to-date Top 20 at #19 and the Dacia Sandero delivers a similar performance, up to #9 this month and #20 year-to-date.
