We have already gone through the Full Year 2012 figures for Turkey so this is an update for December sales, down 9% year-on-year to 80,926 registrations. After being passed by the Renault Fluence in October and the VW Polo in November, the Fiat Linea reclaims its traditional pole position for the 9th time in the last 12 months with 4,224 sales and 5.2%, just above the Renault Fluence very solid at 4,098 units and 5.1%. The Opel Corsa is up 6 spots on November to round up the podium with 3,340 sales and 4.1%.

But the best performance this month is delivered by the Renault Clio, boosted by the new generation produced locally, up a further 3 ranks to land in 5th place at 3,162 units and 3.9%, to be compared with #27 in 2011 and #17 in 2012… The Toyota Corolla is also back in shape, up 6 spots to #6, as is the Dacia Sandero up 10 to #13 and the Opel Astra Sedan back inside the Top 20 at #19. Notice also the Hyundai Accent Blue robust at #11 with 1,956 sales and 2.4%.

After both impressively landing within the Top 20 last month, the Peugeot 301 and Citroen C-Elysee recede somehow in December. The 301 is down 9 ranks to #25 at 994 units and 1.2% while the C-Elysee is down 11 to #28 with 851 sales and 1.1%. The next few months will tell wether the low-cost duo from PSA has it in them to go tackle the Fiat Linea and Renault Fluence atop the sales charts…
