Finland October 2012: Nissan Qashqai asserts domination

New car sales in Finland are down a worrying 19% year-on-year in October to 8,075 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 95,808 units, down 12% on 2011. After climbing into the year-to-date pole position last month, the Nissan Qashqai confirms it is the most popular car in the country in October by selling 395 sales for a 4.9% market share, reinforcing its 2012 leadership further at 4,349 sales and 4.5%. It is the 4th consecutive month the Qashqai leads the Finnish market and the 5th time ever after last JanuaryJulyAugust and September.

Ford Focus

In fact the Top 4 most popular models this month all deliver extremely strong results well above their year-to-date levels: the Ford Focus is up two spots on September to #2 with 370 sales and 4.6% vs #5 and 3.2% year-to-date, the Kia Cee’d is up 6 to #3 at 302 units and 3.7% vs. #10 and 1.9% ytd and the Toyota Auris is up 13 to #4 with 291 sales and 3.6% vs. #12 and 1.5% ytd.
