Norway November 2011: Mitsubishi ASX & Nissan Leaf shine UPDATED

Thanks to new info from Alex we can now see that the Nissan Leaf had a fantastic first full month of sales in Norway, jumping directly to #14 at 221 units and 1.8% share. This is actually the best ranking achieved by Nissan’s electric car in any country around the world including Japan!

Car sales in Norway are up 4% year-on-year in November at 12,753 registrations, with the year-to-date total up 8% at 126,795 units. The VW Golf continues to reign supreme and enjoys its 10th month in pole position this year out of 11 with 619 sales and 5% market share, reinforcing its 2011 leadership to 6,763 units and 5.3%.

Mitsubishi ASX

The new generation Ford Focus stays 2nd with an excellent 492 sales and 4% and ranks #3 in 2011 year-to-date at 3,900 units and 3.1%. It is followed this month by the Volvo V70 up 3 spots on October with 466 sales and 3.8% and the VW Passat, stable at #4 and 3.2% vs. #2 and 3.3% in 2011. In 5th place, the Mitsubishi ASX returns to its traditional Norwegian level after a couple of months off at 382 units and 3.1%.

The VW Tiguan continues to impress in 6th position with 2.7% (it is #13 year-to-date) while the Volvo V60 climbs 3 ranks to #7 and the Hyundai ix35 is up a massive 34 spots to #15 with 220 sales and 1.8%.Other great performers this month include the Toyota Yaris up 24 ranks to #17 thanks to the new generation, the Hyundai i40 up 11 spots to #24 and the Ford C-Max up 27 ranks to #30.
