Poland September 2010: Octavia #1

Poland is the biggest Eastern-European market after Russia and it grows by 12% in September with 27,906 registrations, but is -3% over 9 months 2010 at 234,046 sales.

1-2 for Skoda in Poland with the Octavia leader at 5.3% ahead of the the Fabia at 4.2%. Then 3 German compact cars follow: the Ford Focus, Opel Astra and VW Golf. The Astra is 3rd in the year-to-date rankings.

Strong performers this month are the Ford Mondeo (#7), Peugeot 207 (#15) and Kia Sportage which breaks into the Top 20 for the first time in Poland.

A flash-back to August shows the Dacia Duster and Mistubishi ASX entered the Top 20 in 19th and 20th.

Also to be noticed is the 20th position of the Kia Venga in the year-to-date rankings (pictured below), Poland being its best worldwide market.
