China LCV’s September 2010: Wuling Sunshine at 60,000 sales!

The Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV’s) ranking is the hidden side of the Chinese market, as these figures are rarely accessible, so thanks to AutoWeek.nl and Autonews.com for bringing them to the surface. The Chinese LCV market is at +8% in Sept (427,176 units) and +26% over 9 months (3,827,770).

The Wuling Sunshine delivers an eye-popping 59,655 registrations in September alone, and 608,670 year-to-date. For a bit of perspective, it is much more than the number of Ford F-Series sold in the US that month (47,433 – 385,879 over 9 months), or of VW Golf sold all over Europe in the same period (40,834 – 378,900 over 9 months)…

In #2 comes the ChangAn Minibus at 37,009 registrations, ahead of the Foton Furland at 32,281. The Wuling Rongguang/Xingwang, at 26,318 sales, is 36% ahead of Sept 09 and +157% over 9 months.
