Mexico 1994: Nissan Tsuru back on top, Chevrolet Joy and Chrysler Neon start with a bang

The Chrysler Neon lands directly at #10 in Mexico in 1994.

New car sales in Mexico in 1994 gain 6.4% to 579.223 units. Volkswagen (-1.8%) remains the best-selling brand in the country at 27.8% share but this time Nissan (+7.7%) is catching up at 22.3%. Ford (+29.6%) leapfrogs past Dodge (-24.2%) and Chevrolet (+11.2%) to land in third place, while Chrysler (+241.8%) scores a spectacular gains and advances two spots to #6. Mercedes (+3245.7%) shoots up directly to #9. The Nissan Tsuru/Sentra (+18.3%) is back above the VW Beetle (-20.3%) for the models pole position while the VW Jetta (+22.2%) overtakes the Ford F-Series (-5.9%) to climb onto the annual podium at #3. In fact, Volkswagen also places the Golf (+28.7%) inside the Top 5 while both the Chevrolet Joy/Swing and Chrysler Neon spend their first year in Mexico within the Top 10.
