New car sales in Estonia are up 2% year-on-year in 2013 to 18,933 registrations, and this year we welcome a new model in the top spot: the Honda CR-V, which led throughout the entire year and finishes 2013 with 907 sales and 4.8% share, more than double its 2012 score! The Skoda Octavia remains #2 at 827 units and 4.4%, while the Toyota Avensis, leader in 2012, is down 14% to #3 with 672 sales and 3.5%. Reversely the Toyota Auris is up 46% to #4, the Toyota RAV4 up 63% to #7, Subaru Forester up 148% to #9, Renault Clio up 435% to #13 and the Renault Scenic up 161% to #17. There are four all-new models inside the Estonian Top 60 this year, led by the Skoda Rapid landing directly at a splendid 14th position with 295 sales and 1.6% share, ahead of the Renault Captur at #45, Citroen C-Elysee at #48 and Peugeot 2008 at #68.

New car sales in Estonia are up 1% year-on-year in November to 1,577 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 18,609 units, up 6% on 2012. The Skoda Octavia confirms it is the new darling of Estonian customers by ranking #1 for the 5th consecutive month thanks to 110 sales and 7% share, however this is still not nearly enough to dislodge the Honda CR-V from its 2013 year-to-date throne: the Japanese SUV, #2 this month at 93 units and 5.9%, was snapped up 872 times so far this year vs. 776 for the Octavia. The Nissan Qashqai is faithful to its year-to-date third place with 75 sales and 4.8% this month. Big movers below in the ranking include the Renault Clio up a further 3 spots to #4 at 68 units and 4.3% vs. #15 and 1.6% year-to-date, the Renault Scenic up two to #7 and 3.2% vs. #13 and 2.1%, the Toyota Corolla stable at #13 vs. #48 and the Renault Captur up 14 ranks to #23.

New car sales in Estonia are up a very healthy 10% year-on-year in October to 1,798 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 17,032 units, up 1% on 2012. The Skoda Octavia is the most popular model in the country for the third month running thanks to 107 sales and 6% share, however this is still not enough to unsettle the year-to-date champion, the Honda CR-V. Octavia sales so far this year add up to 666 units and 3.9% vs. 779 and 4.6% for the CR-V.

The Subaru Forester excels, up 4 spots on September to #5, as does the Renault Clio up 13 to #7. Outside the Top 10, let’s salute the Skoda Superb very solid at #12 vs. #21 year-to-date, the Toyota Corolla boosted by the new generation and up 19 ranks to #13 while it doesn’t even rank inside the 2013 Top 50 yet, the Suzuki SX4 up a further 5 spots to #19, Nissan Leaf up 22 to a splendid #26 and the Peugeot 2008 up 11 to a best-ever #34.

The Estonian new car market is up 1% year-on-year in September to 1,569 registrations, which means the year-to-date total now stands at 15,234 units, up 0.3% on 2012. Leader last month, the Skoda Octavia confirms it is the country’s favourite these days by selling 91 units for a 5.8% market share, nearly two percentage points above the #2, the Honda CR-V with 61 sales and 3.9%. The CR-V however remains #1 year-to-date by far at 680 units and 4.5% vs. 559 and 3.7% for the Octavia. The Nissan Qashqai is back up 4 spots on August to #3 while the Toyota Avensis is up 2 to #4.

Other great performers this month in Estonia include the Dacia Duster up from outside the Top 50 in August to a fantastic 5th place thanks to 54 sales and 3.4% share, the Renault Scenic down 4 spots on August but still extremely solid at #6 vs. #13 year-to-date, the Subaru Forester at #9 vs. #12, Skoda Superb at #12 vs. #25 and the Chevrolet Trax up 11 ranks to a best-ever #36.

The Estonian new car market gains 5% year-on-year in August to 1,589 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total back into positive at 13.665 units, 22 more than at the same stage last year. The Skoda Octavia delivers a second consecutive month in pole position thanks to 95 sales and 6% share, while the Renault Scenic is up a brilliant 9 spots on July to land in second place at 73 units and 4.6% vs. #13 and 1.7% year-to-date. The Subaru Forester is also in great shape: up 5 ranks to #8 with 58 sales and 3.7% vs. #12 and 1.9% year-to-date.

Leader so far in 2013, the Honda CR-V ranks 4th for the 2nd time running at 53 units and 3.3%. Other great performers this month in Estonia include the Toyota Auris up 8 spots on last month to #5, the Skoda Rapid up a further one to #13, Peugeot 508 up 32 to #15, Chevrolet Cruze up 30 to #18, Peugeot 308 up 14 to #33 and the Suzuki SX4 up 21 to #21.

The Estonian new car market stabilises in July to 1,811 registrations, up 1% year-on-year and bringing the year-to-date total to 12,076 units, down just 0.4% on 2012. The models ranking in Estonia had been topped by a Honda each month this year up until June: the CR-V in January, February, March, May and June and the Civic in April. Well in July the Skoda Octavia messes up this stat big time by flamboyantly taking the lead thanks to 115 sales and 6.4%.

The Honda CR-V however still leads the year-to-date ranking by far at 566 units and 4.7%. The Toyota Avensis is up 5 spots on June to land in 2nd place both this month with 67 sales and 3.7% and year-to-date at 430 units and 3.6%. The Honda Civic is up 6 ranks to #3, the Kia Sportage up 5 to #5, the Subaru Forester up 12 to #8, Skoda Rapid up 3 to #14, Renault Captur up 8 to #29, the Peugeot 2008 remains #39 and the Chevrolet Trax makes its very first appearance in the Estonian ranking at #50.

In June, new car sales in Estonia are down 13% year-on-year to 1,703 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total into negative at -0.6% on 2012 to 10,265 units. The Honda CR-V continues to reign supreme and holds the top spot for the 5th time in the last 6 months thanks to 70 sales and 4.1%. It is followed this month by the Toyota Auris at 63 units and 3.7% (+7 spots on May) and the Nissan Qashqai with 61 sales and 3.6% (+3).

The Subaru Legacy is up 9 ranks to land in 4th position at 52 units and 3.1%, a ranking it held over the Full Year 2012, and thus making the Estonian Top 4 100% Japanese this month. Notice also the Renault Scenic up 27 spots to #6, the Peugeot 3008 up 21 to #8, Dacia Duster up 7 to #13 and the Renault Captur (#37) and Peugeot 2008 (#39) making their very first appearances inside the Estonian Top 50.

New car sales in Estonia are up 3% year-on-year in May to 2,003 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 8,562 units, up 2% on 2012. Honda continues to hold a firm grip on the models sales charts – even though it only ranks third in the brands ranking behind Toyota and Volkswagen, with the CR-V reclaiming the monthly top spot for the 4th time in the last 5 months thanks to 86 sales and 4.3% and the Civic equal #2 with the Toyota Avensis at 76 units and 3.8%.

The Skoda Octavia is up 8 spots on April to land at a shiny 4th position while the Toyota RAV4 is up a further two ranks to #5. The Estonian new car market is up a very healthy 10% year-on-year in April to 1,936 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 6,559 units. Honda has definitely struck a chord with car buyers in Estonia: the Honda Civic is the most popular model in the country in April, equal with the Kia Sportage, with 87 sales and 4.5% share, while year-to-date the Honda CR-V maintains itself in pole position thanks 361 units and 5.5% share, ranking third in April with 75 sales.

The Toyota Avensis (3.8%) and VW Golf (3.7%) complete the April Top 5. Other great performers over the period include the Toyota RAV4 up to #7 thanks to the new generation at 54 units and 2.8%, the Ford Focus up to #8 with 47 sales and 2.4%, the Subaru Forester up to #11 at 42 units and 2.2% and the Renault Clio up to #17 with 31 sales and 1.6%. Notice also the Peugeot 3008 at #15, Hyundai i40 at #19 and the Seat Leon at #35.

Over the first 3 months of 2013, 4,623 new vehicles found a buyer in Estonia and the Honda CR-V is still the most popular model in the country with 286 sales over the period for a 6.2% market share. In fact the podium is unchanged vs. last month: the Nissan Qashqai is #2 at 192 units and 4.2% and the Toyota Avensis follows with 163 sales and 3.5%. Both the VW Golf and Toyota Auris gain one spot to rank #4 and #5 respectively while the Honda Civic jumps from #20 to #6 at 110 units and 2.4%. Other great performers include the Dacia Duster up to #11 vs. #17 in 2012, the Hyundai ix35 at #12 vs. #24 and the Hyundai i40 at #19 vs. #31.
