We witness a first in the models ranking: thanks to deliveries up 29% to 14.072, the Kia Sportage is the first ever crossover to lead the annual Israeli sales charts, knocking last year’s leader, the Kia Picanto (+5%) to 2nd place in a Kia 1-2. In fact, the Hyundai Tucson, landing directly at #3 for its first full year of sales, makes it two crossovers on the podium. The Mitsubishi Outlander gains 88% and 5 spots to rank 5th, the Seat Ibiza is up 28% to break into the Top 10, with other impressive gainers including the Subaru Impreza (+31%), Suzuki Vitara (+385%), Skoda Rapid (+45%), Citroen Berlingo (+84%), Chevrolet Spark (+254%) and VW Golf (+43%). The Hyundai Elantra is the most popular all-new nameplate at #27 (the previous generation was sold as the i35), ahead of the Suzuki Baleno (#44), Celerio (#54), Honda HR-V (#59) and Renault Kadjar (#76).
