Slovenia November 2016: Renault down 37%, Dacia up 139%

The Slovenian market is up 5% year-on-year in November to 5.337 units, lifting the year-to-date tally up 6% to 59.596. Volkswagen remains the most popular brand in the country with sales up 15% to hit 16.7% share, distancing Renault (-37%), Skoda (+1), Opel (-4%) and Ford (+20%) – in this way replicating the Top 5 YTD ranking. Dacia (+139%), Hyundai (+81%), Audi (+42%), BMW (+43%), Suzuki (+48%), Mercedes (+87%) and  Honda (+173%) all post spectacular gains inside the Top 20. In spite of freefalling 60% year-on-year, the Renault Clio reclaims the Slovenian models ranking pole position from the VW Polo (#1 in October) at 253 sales and 4.8% share, ahead of the Skoda Octavia (+43%), Dacia Duster (up 4-fold!), VW Golf, Polo and Passat. The Hyundai Tucson is up 38% to #7, the Renault Mégane up 133% to #8 and the VW Tiguan up 206% to #14.
