Lebanon January-July 2016: Toyota places Yaris, Prado & Land Cruiser on podium
The Toyota Prado is up 64% to rank #2 in Lebanon so far in 2016.

The Lebanese new car market is down slightly so far in 2016 at -6% over the first 7 months of the year to 29.252 registrations. Toyota fights the overall negative trend to post a stellar 14% year-on-year gain to lift its market share to 28.8% thanks to 8.421 sales. Kia (-10%) at 15.2% and Nissan (-11%) at 12.1% follow above Hyundai (11.6%) and Renault (5.6%) while Mitsubishi tumbles down 47% to 6th place. Lexus (+31%), Chevrolet (+34%), Mazda (+39%), Infiniti (+100%) and most strikingly Peugeot (+113%) post spectacular gains. We welcome back Opel at #26. Model-wise, the Toyota Yaris remains the best-sellers thanks to sales up 7% to 2.430 and this time the podium is 100% Toyota with the Prado up a stunning 64% to #2 and the Land Cruiser up 36% to #3. The Kia Picanto (-16%), Hyundai i10 (-24%) and Kia Rio (-14%) are relegated to #4, #5 and #6 respectively. Notice also the Hyundai Accent up 119% to #7, the Renault Sandero up 107% to #13 and the Suzuki Vitara landing directly just one unit off a Top 20 ranking at #21.
