Croatia June 2016: Opel Corsa #1, Renault Clio now year-to-date leader

The Croatian new car market is up a stunning 32% year-on-year in June to 6.244 registrations, lifting the year-to-date total up 22% to 26.387 units. Shooting up 59% on June 2015, Opel brilliantly takes the lead of the brands ranking with 937 sales and 15% share, overtaking Volkswagen up just 10% to 868 units and 13.9. VW remains #1 year-to-date though, with 3.661 sales and 13.9% share (+2%) vs. 2.932 and 11.1% (+8%) for Opel. Skoda (+37%), Peugeot (+42%), Seat (+85%), Suzuki (+99%), Nissan (+103%), Citroen (+141%), Fiat (+237%), Mitsubishi (+300%) and Hyundai (+400%) all post spectacular gains. The Opel Corsa is the best-selling model in the country in June with 5.8% but the Renault Clio is the star of the month, edging past the VW Golf to lead the year-to-date order thanks to a very strong month of May (548 sales) and 357 sales in June, adding up 1.367 so far in 2016 vs. 1.361 for the VW Golf. The Ford Fiesta (#5), Kia Cee’d (#8), Seat Leon (#13) and Audi Q3 (#18) also shine this month.
