Philippines Full Year 2015: Sixth straight annual record: 323.928 sales

The Filipino new car market displays outstanding health in 2015, managing to lodge an incredible 6th consecutive all-time annual record with total sales add up to 323.928, a stunning 20% improvement on the previous record of 269.841 established in 2014. Toyota is once again master in command in the Philippines albeit gaining slightly less ground than the market at +18% to 124.426 sales resulting in a 38.4% market share vs. 39.1% in 2014. Similarly, Mitsubishi holds onto its 2nd spot but a just +8% it sees its market share thaw from 18.6% to 16.7%. Ford (+25%) but most impressively Isuzu (+60%) are the big winners atop the ranking, both overtaking Hyundai (-4%) to rank third and fourth respectively. Notice also Honda up 44%, Nissan up 53%, Suzuki up 52%, Hino up 61% and Mercedes up 80%. Mahindra makes its entrance in the Filipino sales charts at #14 with 1.568 sales.

In the models ranking, Toyota monopolises the podium once again but with a slight change. The Toyota Vios beats the market at +28% to hit a record 33.173 sales or 10.2% market share. The Vios is the first vehicle to sell over 30.000 units in a single year in the Philippines. The Toyota Innova is up one spot on a year ago to land in 2nd place with 17.011 sales above the Toyota Hiace up a flamboyant 51% to 16.675 units. The Mitsubishi Montero Sport (+10%) is stuck at #4 but the new generation will push it onto the podium in 2016, it now outsells the Toyota Fortuner (-15%) suffering from its generation changeover. The Toyota Wigo (+48%) and Ford Ranger (+64%) consolidate their positions while the Ford Ecosport breaks into the Top 1o at #9.
