Sales of new passenger cars and light commercials in Tunisia are down 8% year-on-year over the First Half of 2015 to 24.921 deliveries. Citroen brilliantly bucks the trend to cement the leadership it acquired for the first time last year, with sales up a stunning 33% to 3.484 units for a 14% market share. Volkswagen also improves its share to 10.1% thanks to 2.513 sales, down just 1% on the same period last year. Peugeot remains third while Kia overtakes Renault (-40%) to take the 4th spot. This particularly weak performance of Renault casts a doubt on whether the Symbol has managed to hold onto the models pole position so far this year, as no models data has been communicated yet. Seat and Dacia both climb up inside the overall Top 10, while Kia dominates the passenger car brands ranking above Renault and Volkswagen just as Citroen tops the light commercials ranking above Isuzu and, here too, Volkswagen.
