Another very satisfying month for new car sales in Poland: up 19% year-on-year in June to 34.545 registrations including commercials, lifting the year-to-date total halfway through 2015 to 202.191 units, up 3% on 2014. Skoda remains sovereign in the brands ranking at 11.8% share above Volkswagen at 8.8% while Opel overtakes Ford to rank third with 8.6% of the market vs. 8.3%. Toyota stays 5th, well below its YTD level at 7.2% vs. 8.9%, Nissan is up 6 spots on May to #7 and up 31% year-to-date, Dacia is back inside the Top 10 and BMW breaks into the Top 15 both this month and year-to-date.

Model-wise, the Skoda Fabia outpaces its larger stablemate the Octavia to land in pole position for the third time in the past 18 months after April and August 2014 – the first time for the new generation – and with 1.273 sales and 3.7% share it lodges its highest market share in almost two years (since October 2013 when it hit 4.2%). The Octavia remains #1 year-to-date with 7.361 units (-4%) vs. 6.030 (+5%) for the Fabia. Excellent month for the Opel Astra up two spots on May to #3 and knocking the Ford Focus down to #4, and for the Dacia Duster at #9 (+7), Nissan Qashqai at #10 (+11), Ford Mondeo at #11 (+4), Skoda Citigo at #18 (+29), Toyota Avensis at #23, Nissan Micra at #31 and Nissan Note at #39. The all-new Suzuki Vitara holds itself inside the Top 50 despite dropping 12 ranks on May to #47.
