Hungary June 2015: Suzuki Vitara on podium

The Suzuki Vitara is the third best-selling vehicle in Hungary in June.

The Hungarian new passenger car market is up a very vigorous 17% year-on-year in June to 7.371 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 37.123 units, up 12% on the half-year 2014 figure which was itself up 22% on 2013. Opel dominates the passenger car brands ranking over the 1st Half of 2015 with 11.7% share above Skoda (11%), Ford (10.6%), Volkswagen (8.7%) and Suzuki (7.7%) while Ford takes the lead of the all-vehicle brands charts at 13.3% share ahead of Opel (10.8%) and Skoda (8.9%). Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia is head and shoulders above the competition with 2.496 sales and 6.7% share over the first six months, distancing the Opel Astra (4%) and Ford Focus (3.6%). In June, the locally-produced Suzuki Vitara leaps up to the third step of the podium thanks to 226 deliveries for a 3.1% share and slips into the year-to-date Top 10 at #9 and 795 units.
