The Mexican new car market is very consistent at very high year-on-year gains in 2015: up another 23% in April to 94.796 registrations, marking a fourth consecutive monthly record (previous April best was in 2005 at 86.426) and bringing the year-to-date total to 400.953 units, up 22% on 2014. Once again Nissan outperforms the market with sales up 26% to 24.566 and 25.9% market share, above General Motors at 19.6% (+24%), Volkswagen at 12.4% (+1%) and FCA Mexico at 7.9% (+15%). Notice Mercedes up 29%, Peugeot up 38%, Acura up 48%, Honda up 51% and Mazda up 62%, while Hyundai stops two units short off a Top 10 ranking at 1.726 sales and 1.8% share. Model-wise there is not much change in the ranking, with the Chevrolet Aveo still holding the top spot with 5.1% above the Nissan Versa (+26%), VW Vento (+63%) and Chevrolet Spark (+50%) while the Nissan March shoots up 67% year-on-year in 6th place.
