Martinique (France) Full Year 2014: Peugeot leads, Dacia on podium

Peugeot is the best-selling carmaker in Martinique in 2014.

The Martinique island is a French overseas territory located in the Caribbean Sea, however even though it is thousands of kilometres away from Metropolitan France, car purchase tastes are very similar. In a market up 3% on a 2013 figure which was the lowest in 19 years to 13.233 units (all-time high: 17.900 registrations in 2005), Peugeot takes the lead of the brands ranking in 2014 thanks to sales up 18%, knocking Renault down to 2nd place. Dacia manages to lodge an impressive podium finish, passing Citroen thanks to sales up 14%. Notice also Kia in 5th place whereas it doesn’t rank inside the Top 10 in Metropolitan France.
