Slovenia October 2014: Renault Clio and Dacia Duster on top

New car sales in Slovenia are up a robust 12% year-on-year in October to 5,134 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 45,703 units, up 3% on 2013. The Renault Group is in exceptional shape this month in Slovenia: Renault jumps to first place in the brands ranking with almost 20% share thanks to 1,005 sales while Dacia is on the podium at #3 with 551 units and 10.7%, the first time the low-cost French-Romanian manufacturer crosses the 10% share milestone in Slovenia. Volkswagen is kicked down to #2 and 14.7% vs. 16.1% year-to-date and Skoda is knocked down to #4 and 7.4% vs. 9.6% YTD.

After two months away, the Renault Clio reclaims the models pole position it holds YTD thanks to 552 sales and a very strong 10.8% share (its best since June 2013), the Dacia Duster gains one more spot on September to a best-ever #2 and 6.1% share, lifting to #6 and 2.4% YTD. The VW Polo and Golf follow, while the Skoda Octavia is down one rank to #5. Other great performers include the VW Golf Sportsvan at #10 vs. #32 YTD, the Dacia Logan up 28 spots on last month to #11 vs. #63 YTD, the Dacia Lodgy up 34 to #17 vs. #57 YTD, Opel Mokka up to #22 and the Citroen C4 Cactus breaking into the Slovenian Top 50 for the first time at #44.
