Kuwait January 2014: Nissan D22 up to second place

The Kuwaiti new car market is up 6% year-on-year in January to 13,356 registrations, and the Toyota Prado builds on a record score in 2013 to sell 1,813 units this month for an outstanding 13.6% market share. But the best performer this month is the Nissan D22 Pick-up, almost doubling its FY2013 market share to land in 2nd place with a round 1,000 sales and 7%, kicking down the Toyota Hilux to #3 even though it delivers a strong 6.9% share vs. 4.9% in FY2013.

Notice also the Hyundai Santa Fe up 19 spots on its FY2013 ranking to #8 and 2.4% share, the Ford Expedition up 11 to #13, Kia Sportage up 21 to #14, Honda Accord up 10 to #15, GMC Yukon up 14 to #19, Chevrolet Caprice up 51 to #21, Range Rover Sport up 33 to #22, Ford F-Series up 30 to #33, Lexus IS up 37 to #37 and the Chevrolet Impala up 42 to #38.
