As is the tradition on BSCB we have a look at the Thai pick-up ranking each month. Why? Because Thailand is the 1 ton pick-up factory of the world and it’s always interesting to see how these fare ‘at home’. Sales of these vehicles slow down their fall in Thailand at a still harsh -24% year-on-year in November to 40,666 registrations. The Toyota Hilux displays a mammoth 15% market share advantage over the Isuzu D-Max this month at 43.5% vs. 28.4%, this is potentially the highest gap we’ve seen between the two models in a decade! The Mitsubishi Triton fares well at 9.1% vs. 8% year-to-date as does the Ford Ranger at 6% vs. 5.4%.
