Historical Data covering the past 16 years is now available on BSCB for Algeria, and you can now witness a lot of change over the period in the models ranking for this country. The Peugeot 206 started off as the king of 2004, before being passed by the Toyota Hilux in 2005, the Hyundai Accent in 2006 and the Chevrolet Aveo in 2007. The Renault Symbol brought a bit of stability into the ranking by topping the sales charts for 4 consecutive years from 2008 to 2011, then the Peugeot 207 surprisingly grabbed the pole position in 2012 at the very end of its career and finally the Dacia Logan was crowned in 2013 for the first time since the nameplate launched in Algeria in 2005. It would remain on top until 2016 when the now locally-produced Renault Symbol reclaimed its crown. The locally-produced Dacia Sandero then took the relay in 2017 and hasn’t looked back since.
