Austria September 2013: Skoda Fabia and Octavia on podium

New car sales in Austria are down 7% both in September to 25,301 registrations and year-to-date at 248,111 units. Like in neighbouring Germany, Skoda lodges an outstanding month: it places the Fabia at #2 with 807 sales and 3.2% (best ranking since last May) and the Octavia at #3 with 718 units and 2.8% (best ranking since last January), both well ahead of their year-to-date levels. As a result the VW Polo and Tiguan are kicked down to #4 and #5 respectively. The Fiat 500 excels as well, up one further spot on August to #7, as do the Ford Focus up 14 to #10 and Audi A3 up 12 to #11. The Renault Captur progresses further, up 6 ranks to a best-ever #26 while the Opel Adam also ranks at an all-time high #30.
