Hong Kong (China) July 2013: Toyota Hiace now #1 year-to-date

3,715 new vehicles found a buyer in Hong Kong in July, bringing the year-to-date total to 26,922 units, up a very robust 14% on 2012. The Toyota Hiace celebrates its 4th consecutive month in pole position and 6th time at that level in the last 10 months at 234 units and 6.3% by taking the lead in the 2013 year-to-date ranking thanks to 1,275 sales and 4.7%. The BMW 5 Series, down to #16 this month, is kicked down to #2 year-to-date but is still the king of passenger cars at 1,136 units and 4.2%. The VW Golf remains at a brilliant 2nd place in July with 180 sales and 4.8% while Mercedes places 2 models inside the Top 4: the C-Class at #3 and 4% and the E-Class at 3.2%.

Other great performers this month in Hong Kong include the Toyota Noah up to #5 and 3% share vs. #13 and 1.9% year-to-date, the BMW 1 Series very solid once again at #10, the Toyota Crown LPG Taxi up to #17 vs. #48 year-to-date, the Lexus IS up 12 spots to #21 vs. #66 YTD, the Nissan Note up 35 to #25 and the Nissan Cedric LPG Taxi up to #59. We also welcome the Ferrari F12 in the ranking at #108 and the Jaguar F-Type at #165.
