France July 2013: Discover the Top 300 best-selling models!

Thanks to French magazine L’Argus I can share with you a relatively rare ranking: the 300 most popular models in France in July! There are a few changes compared to the first July ranking I published, among them the Mercedes E-Class up to #77 with 507 sales vs. #98 year-to-date. In fact, the E-Class is one of the only Mercedes up this month, because the brand’s best-sellers are affected by the freeze of their registration by French authorities on the basis that they are using air conditioning refrigeration gas forbidden by the European union. The whole affair is unprecedented in Europe, with the European Commission and German registration authority KBA now backing the French… As a result the models affected plunged in the French ranking in July: the B Class is down 32 spots to #73, the A-Class down 45 to #84 and the CLA down 91 to #168…

Reversely, the Chevrolet Trax is up 19 ranks to #80, the Lancia Ypsilon up to #82 vs. #109 year-to-date, the Dacia Logan up 17 spots to #86 vs. #116 year-to-date thanks to the new model, the Hyundai i40 up to #97 vs. #125 YTD, the Lexus IS up to #152 vs. #219 and the Chevrolet Malibu up to #162 vs. #199. Notice also the Mini Paceman at #134 with 171 sales, the BMW X6 above the X5 at #186 vs. #192, the Mercedes S-Class up to #204 vs. #234 YTD, the Jaguar F-Type at #231 with 20 units sold, the Ferrari F12 at #270 with 5 sales, Secma Fun at #279 with 4 units, PGO Speedster at #289 with 3 sales and the Rolls-Royce Ghost at #298 with 2 units.
