Sales of Light Commercial Vehicles are down 14% year-on-year in May to 3,977 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 24,273 units, down 15% on 2012. For the 5th consecutive month and the 9th time in the last 12 months, the VW Caddy leads the sales charts thanks to 442 sales and 11.1% share, adding up to 3,044 units and 12.5% so far in 2013. In fact, the May podium is identical to last month and to the year-to-date one with the VW Transporter at #2 with 395 sales and 9.9% and the Mercedes Sprinter at #3 with 260 units and 6.5%. But the best performer this month, like in April, is the Mercedes Citan up a further 4 spots to a record 4th position with 208 sales and 5.2% share.
