An estimated 1,887 new light vehicles changed hands in Bulgaria in March, adding up to 5,202 after 3 months. As in February when the Toyota Auris triumphed, a shaky handover between the 2 generations of Dacia Logan LCV (down to #43 in March) leaves a wide open field for other models to shine. And in March it’s the turn of the Kia Sportage to take command thanks to 69 sales and 3.7% share, also taking the lead in the year-to-date ranking at 169 units and 3.2%. The Peugeot Bipper is up one further spot to #2 with 43 sales and 2.3%, equal with the Skoda Octavia up 5 and the Renault Clio IV is up a fantastic 15 ranks.

Other great performers this month in Bulgaria include the Mazda6 up 36 spots to #8 vs. #47 in 2012, the BMW 5 Series up 3 to #9 vs. #41 in 2012, the Peugeot 301 up 20 to #15 with 29 sales and 1.5%, Renault Master up 34 to #16 and the Peugeot 208 up 12 to #18. After a fantastic first full year in 2012, locally-produced Chinese Great Wall models are taking a breather in this start of 2013: the Great Wall Voleex C10 is up 17 spots to a still shy #17 this month, while the Steed is down 26 to #30 and the Hover down 31 to #38.
