The Croatian new car market dives into deeper and deeper recession each month, with November sales down 46% year-on-year to just 1,631 registrations, the lowest monthly volume in the country in 11 years… The year-to-date total now stands at 30,029 units, down 23% on 2011. In this depressing context, the VW Polo takes the lead for the first time since last May and the third time in the last 12 months with 65 sales and 4% while the Renault Clio, boosted by the new generation, is up a huge 19 spots on October to land in 2nd place at 63 units and 3.9%.

The Opel Astra is down one rank to #3 but keeps the lead year-to-date with 1,202 sales and 4%, the Citroen C4 is up one to #4 and passes the VW Golf (down to #7 this month) to establish itself in third position in the year-to-date ranking at 941 units and 3.1%, the Peugeot 208, leader last month, is down to #5, the Kia Rio is down to #8 but at a still respectable 2.5% share and the Kia Sportage is up to #11.
