The French new car market is down by ‘just’ 7% over the period, thanks to good performances of Peugeot (+26%), Citroen (+11%), Toyota (+5%), #2 foreign brand behind Volkswagen ahead of Audi (+11%). Renault suffers at -28% and Dacia is down to #9 at -6%. The Peugeot 208 is head and shoulders above the competition and grabs 5.7% of the market (vs. 6.4% in August) with an almost 1,000 units advantage over the Renault Clio 3 living its last instants at #2 with 2,017 sales and 3.8% (-50%). The Renault Scenic rounds up the podium with 1,767 units and 3.3%.
