The Polish car market continues on its excellent run, up 7% year-on-year in April to 27,291 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 115,200 units, up 11% on 2011. This month the podium is identical to 2011’s and 2012 year-to-date’ rankings: the Skoda Octavia leads the way with 1,659 sales and 6.1%, followed by the Skoda Fabia at 1,035 units and 3.8% and the Opel Astra with 758 sales and 2.8%.

Below the Ford Focus very solid at #4 and 2.7%, no less than 3 SUVs deliver their highest Polish ranking ever, and they are all in the Top 8! With 630 sales and 2.3%, the Nissan Qashqai stays #5, a ranking it reached last month, in June 2011 and July 2010. The Dacia Duster is up one further spot on March when it broke into the Top 10 for the first time to reach a formidable 6th place thanks to 621 units sold. Finally the Kia Sportage, already a huge success in neighbouring Slovakia, makes its first inroad into the Polish Top 10 at #8 with 517 sales and 1.9%.
