The Ford F-Series is faithful to its American pole position this month, even growing by 24% year-on-year at 47,740 sales. It is up 9% year-to-date at 516,639 units. At #2, the Chevrolet Silverado does even better, gaining 34% on November 2010 to 34,251 sales, and up 12% year-to-date at 367,343 units.
Thanks to the arrival of the new generation in dealerships, the Toyota Camry reclaims its title of best-selling car in the country in 3rd place this month with 23,440 sales, up 13%. It is however still down 7% year-to-date at 275,004 units. The Ford Escape shines in 4th place and 21,823 sales (+46%), followed by the Nissan Altima (+12%), reinforcing its 2011 #2 best-selling car spot at 243,005 units, the Dodge RAM (+8%) and Ford Fusion (+13%).
After a couple of weak months, the Honda Civic enjoys the benefits of the arrival of its new generation and reclaims its spot in the US Top 10 at #8. Thanks to the Prius V, the newly launched MPV version, the Toyota Prius sees its ranking halved compared to October: it is up 12 spots to #12 and 49% year-on-year to 15,208 sales.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee also excels, up 8 ranks to #15 and 13,545 units. The Kia Optima breaks into the US Top 30 for the very first time, up 6 ranks on October to #30 with 9,533 sales, which is a massive 570% improvement on November 2010…
Other great performers this month include the Mercedes C Class up 113% year-on-year to #36 and 8,358 units, the VW Passat up 11 spots on October to #52, the Toyota Yaris still solid at #57 thanks to the new generation vs. #108 year-to-date, the Mercedes M Class up to #67, the Chevrolet Sonic up to #73, the new VW Beetle up to #133 and the Chevrolet Volt up to #146.
