Chinese Light Commercial Vehicle sales see a 13% year-on-year drop in October (yes the data is one month late) at 378,590 registrations, bringing the 10 months 2011 total to 4,090,332 units, down 9%. LCV are now the 2nd biggest vehicle sales category behind compact cars at 4,360,834 units (+10%).

As usual let’s compare this score to the number of VW Golfs sold all across Europe (38,076) and of Ford F-Series sold in the US and Canada over the same period (59,461) to really grasp the scale of the Sunshine figures. Year-to-date it has sold 605,351 units, down 9%.

The Wuling Rongguang/Xingwang stays #2 at 32,504 sales, up an amazing 37% on October 2010, it is #3 year-to-date at 316,646 units, up 38%. The Foton Forland is #3 again at 27,739 sales, down 14% and #2 year-to-date at 323,650 units, down 14%.
