Vietnam April 2011: Daewoo Lacetti/Chevy Cruze takes the lead

In April, the Vietnamese car market is down year-on-year for the first time in 2011 at -3% and 9,409 registrations. It is however still up 20% year-to-date at 37,305 units. The models ranking gets a bit of a shake this month: the Daewoo Lacetti/Chevrolet Cruze grabs the top spot in Vietnam for the first time with 549 sales and 5.8% share.

The Toyota Corolla is up 2 spots at #2 with 516 sales and 5.5%, just above the Toyota Innova, down 2 spots to #3 with 515 units but still #1 year-to-date with 2,372 sales and 6.4% share. The Toyota Fortuner is #4 at 5.1% and the Kia Morning is up to #5.
