In a slowly rebounding US market, the Ford F-Series finishes the year at 528,349 sales, up 28% on a dismal 2009 and 2% on 2008. It is the 29th year in a row the F-Series is the best-selling vehicle in the USA, even though its 2010 sales are still a far cry from its 2004 peak of 939,511.

The Chevrolet Silverado reclaims the 2nd spot in 2010 with 370,135 sales (+17%), and the Toyota Camry is the best-selling passenger car in the USA for the 9th year in a row (327,804 sales, -9%) despite the PR disaster Toyota has suffered this year. Below, the Honda Accord and Toyota Corolla swap positions while the Honda Civic and Nissan Altima stay at #6 and #7 respectively.

Great performers this year include the Ford Fusion, the best-selling US passenger car again, up 21% to #8 to 219,219 sales (its best figure yet), the Hyundai Sonata up 64% and 5 spots to #12 and a regular fixture in the Top 10 in the 2nd half of the year, and the Kia Sorento, up a whopping 81 spots and 346% to #24 with 108,985 sales, the highest level ever achieved by a Kia in the US.
