Germany November 2010: Mercedes C Class #2, BMW 5 Series #6

There is a light at the end of the tunnel for the German car market: November sales (262,262) are down only 6% year-on-year.

Behind the VW Golf (slipping 0.5 point to 7.7% share), the Mercedes C Class continues its great run and improves its market share again to 3.3%. It is 3rd Year-to-date, now ahead of the Opel Astra. The VW Polo slips to #3 but stays 2nd YTD at 3.4%.

The BMW 5 Series is the other very strong performer this month in 6th at 2.4%, the best-selling BMW model for the second month in a row. The Audi A1 is up 16 spots at #28 with 2,537 sales and 1% of the market (Mini: 2,624).

Apart from the two Skodas and the Seat Ibiza (99.5% owned by VW), the only foreign model in the Top 30 is the Nissan Qashqai (#30), the Dacia Duster coming at #3 in 33rd place.
