Poland 2004: Fiat Panda new best-seller

Car sales in Poland are down 9% this year at 332,222 registrations. For its first full year in market, the new generation Fiat Panda manages to become the best-selling car in the country with 31,074 sales and 9.4% share, up a massive 126% on 2003… The Skoda Fabia is down 16% to #2 with 26,411 units and 7.9%. In spite of sales down 16% to 12,100 units, the Toyota Yaris climbs onto the Polish podium for the very first time this year. It is the first time a Toyota manages to ranks within the Polish year-end Top 3.

Excellent performance of the Skoda Octavia up 6 spots and 9% to #4 with 11,927 sales and 3.6% and of the Opel Astra also up 6 ranks to #5 at 11,429 units and 3.4% share. The Toyota Corolla stays 6th at -17% while the Fiat Seicento is down 5 spots and 60% to #7, followed by the Opel Corsa (-16%), Ford Focus (-11%) and Peugeot 206 (-27%). Notice also the Toyota Avensis reaching a best-ever 14th place and the Ford Fusion up 15 spots to #20.
